Successful applicants will enjoy one year of free membership (March 2026 – March 2027), gaining full access to NEMO’s resources and benefits. This programm allows participants to:
- Build cross-border collaborations
- Promote their work on an international stage
- Access professional development opportunities within the European museum sector
- Benefit from insights into EU policies, funding opportunities
- Contribute to advocacy efforts for museums.
Opportunities for Trial Members
As a trial member, you can take part in NEMO’s training activities, share knowledge with peers, and join three online Member Meetups each year. These one-hour sessions combine expert input with interactive discussion.
Participants may also join one of NEMO’s topic-specific Working Groups, enabling deeper engagement in specialised areas. Additionally, trial members receive two complimentary tickets to the NEMO European Museum Conference, offering valuable networking and learning opportunities.

Eligibility
The programme is open to museums and museum-oriented organisations located in Council of Europe Member States. Please note that individuals and businesses are not eligible, and trial members do not have voting rights at the Annual General Meeting. Please review our membership categories to determine your eligibility.
This year, we particularly welcome applications from organisations with an interest or experience in digital innovation, cyber security, and AI - but every eligible organisation is more than welcome to apply. Five trial memberships are reserved for organisations based in Ukraine.
