Eight museum professionals from Ireland, Greece, Germany, Albania, Estonia, Hungary and Cyprus attended the training and were all covered by NEMO travel grants.
The programme of the first day included a guided tour of the Brixia Roman Archeological Area and of the Santa Giulia Museums, with a focus on visitor services and learning devices, among which the museum game-app for children from the age of 6, featuring the beloved children character Geronimo Stilton. In the afternoon, participants visited the Pinacoteca Tosio Martinengo and took part in a round table coordinated by the Head of Public Engagement, which proved to be a very important moment of peer learning and exchange for all participants.
The day ended by attending the one-day conference “Participation and well-being” one of the events organized by the Fondazione Brescia Musei within the framework of the initiative OPEN DOORS. PARTICIPATORY MUSEUMS TODAY. NEMO is together with Fondazione Brescia Musei and Fondazione Scuola dei beni e delle attività culturali co-organising the hybrid series of talks that are running from May-December 2022.
