Annual Conference 2026: Opening Up Museums! Diversity as an Opportunity

With our 2026 Annual Conference, taking place from May 10 to 13 in Münster, we encourage museums to actively shape their role in a pluralistic society. We explore how new perspectives can be integrated into our work, how diversity and participation can be successfully embedded in institutions as a long-term strategy, and what strengths museums—whether large or small, urban or rural—bring to this endeavor. In doing so, we provide space for professional exchange, discuss practical approaches, and jointly develop sustainable perspectives for the future.
