This exhibition, which looks at representation in history was created by the Echoes collective - a group of young adults who together explored who is represented in history, how, and why. In a participatory project (9 months) run by the HEH, they unpacked representation, storytelling and heritage. Their audio-visual recreation of the atmosphere of "their" city Brussels, and the stories told in “Raising our roots” contrast European history as shown in our museum, with intimate realities and narratives on migration throughout time.
