Birgitte Kehler Holst

Birgitte Kehler Holst is currently leading the Green Museum Academy, a project under the Association of Danish Museums. Since 2022 the Academy has worked to facilitate and support the green transition of Danish museums through capacity building, network facilitation and projects involving museums and their collaborators. 

 

With a background in leadership and project management in complex and politically run organisations, Birgitte has more than 10 years of experience in translating strategies and visions into concrete actions and plans. 

For more than a decade Birgitte worked as a Contract Manager in the Danish Broadcasting Agency’s Facility Management department. She has also been working with sustainability and behavioural design within facilities management for many years.

At NEMO’s European Museum Conference 2026, Birgitte Kehler Holst will facilitate the workshop Museums and the digital footprint on Tuesday 13 October.
