His work brings together cultural heritage, digital transformation, cybersecurity and the emerging opportunities of artificial intelligence. In addition to addressing digital risks, he is particularly interested in how museums and heritage organisations can harness technology to improve access, create new opportunities, safeguard cultural heritage and strengthen resilience in an increasingly complex world.
At NEMO’s European Museum Conference 2026, Hannu-Pekka Polttila will join the panel “Under attack: Cybersecurity, trust and resilience in museums” on Monday, 12 October.
