Ramunė Šmigelskytė-Stukienė

Dr Ramunė Šmigelskytė-Stukienė is a historian, Deputy Director General for Culture and Science of National Museum – Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania (Vilnius), and senior researcher at the Department of the History of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania at the Lithuanian Institute of History (Vilnius). 

The main directions of her scholarly interests include history of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, development of state institutions and partitions of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. She is the author and co-author or editor of 25 books and over 200 published papers in the fields of social, cultural and political history.

At NEMO’s European Museum Conference 2026, Dr Ramunė Šmigelskytė-Stukienė will be part of opening the conference on Monday, 12 October.
