NEMO Annual General Meeting 2026

On 15 September from 11:00-12:15 CEST, we invite you to the Annual General Meeting of NEMO. The meeting takes place online via Zoom and is open to members of NEMO. Join to get updates about the network and vote in the Executive Board election.

The 34th Annual General Meeting (AGM) takes place online to ensure that as many of NEMO's members as possible can participate in shaping the future of the network.

  • What happens at NEMO’s AGM? At the yearly meeting, NEMO member organisations gather to learn about the network's recent activities, progress and future plans. Additionally there is an election of members to the Executive Board.
  • Why should I join the AGM? To be part of steering the network, staying informed and making important decisions about NEMO’s future. Every member organisation’s voice and vote counts so please join us!
  • Do I need to prepare? Yes, we encourage all participants come prepared to the meeting by reading the meeting material ahead of the AGM. You will access them all below. We also encourage you to get to know the candidates standing for election, they are presented further down on this page.

On 15 September, please join the online AGM at 10:50 CEST to allow us enough time to check everyone off the registration list for a smooth meeting start at 11:00 CEST, ensuring that we can keep the agenda.

    This document offers a comprehensive update on all of NEMO's achievements and activities in the 12 months covering publications, trainings and other activities for members, advocacy activities such as meetings, statements, and conferences. It also includes an update on the current count of members and NEMO's current partner projects.

    This document offers an overview of NEMO's tentative budget for 2026 and explains the main income sources and expenses of the network.

Elections to the NEMO Executive Board

Two seats in the NEMO Executive Board are open for the 2027-2029 term.

The Board brings together museum professionals from member organisations across Europe who help guide NEMO's strategic direction and represent the interests of the museum sector at the European level.

Candidates to the NEMO Executive Board elections

Get to know the candidates standing for election below. In addition to their nomination letters and CVs, each candidate will give a short presentation at the AGM ahead of the vote. Candidates are listed in alphabetical order by surname.

  • Voting in the election

    One person from each member organisation (excluding museum-related businesses) will cast a vote. Additional staff members may join as observers to learn about NEMO's recent and future activities. Only members who have paid their annual contribution fee to the network may vote. Museum-related business members are not eligible to vote, but may join to observe. 

    If you cannot join the meeting, you may vote via proxy (learn more below).

    Depending on member category, one vote counts as:

    • Full members - 10 votes per member
    • Network members - 3 votes per member
    • Individual member - 1 vote per member
    • Museum-related business member - Not eligible to vote

  • Can't join the AGM? Cast your vote by proxy

    If your organisation is unable to attend the AGM on 15 September 11:00-12:15 CEST, you may arrange to vote via proxy vote.

    To vote via proxy you have to fill in this document (word file download) and send it until 14 September at 12:00 CEST to the person voting in your absence as well as a copy to office@ne-mo.org.
