In the webinar Patricia Barciela, director of Domus (Museos Científicos Coruñeses) proposes Europeana as the digital platform with which to develop Learning Scenarios that link the European digital heritage with topics of our interest. As an example, she will show us how, from an exhibition on Nutrition and Sustainable Development Goals in the museum where she works, an educational activity can be developed with the support of the material available in Europeana.
Patricia Barciela Durán will facilitate the webinar for the NEMO Working Group LEM. She is an Europeana museum ambassador. She holds a PhD in Biological Sciences from the University of Santiago de Compostela. At the same time as she was developing the research of her doctoral thesis, she started her professional life as a teacher.
As a professional in scientific museology, she has taken part in the renovation and management of more than half of the Domus' permanent exhibition area. She has also participated in the design, management and production of numerous temporary exhibitions and published more than a hundred articles. She has also designed and organized dozens of conferences, courses, events and educational workshops. As a researcher, she has published articles in international journals and participated in scientific congresses. She is specialized in themes related to non-formal scientific education and in the coordination of scientific communication projects.

The Europeana MOOC is open for everyone and registrations are accepted until 15 March 2021. The course is addressed to teachers and non-formal educators like museum educators, librarians, archivists or curators. The aim of the course is twofold 1) increase digital cultural data as a trusted primary source in education and 2) empower educators to use digital technologies, essential to develop learners' 21st-century skills.
