On 18 October, the European Commission invites to an information event about opportunities presented by Horizon Europe. In the online event, the EC will inform potential applicants about topics included in the Cluster 2 “Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Societies” of the Horizon Europe work programme for 2024.
If you are interested in preparing a proposal for one of the Horizon Europe calls but need partners or would like to join a project, NEMO highly recommend participating in an online brokerage event that takes place on the following day 19 October 2023. The event includes a matchmaking session of partners who are interested in the same topics for the 2024 calls.
There are a number of open funding calls that are relevant to museums under the Horizon Europe programme. All calls close on 7 February 2024.
- New European Bauhaus – Innovative solutions for greener and fairer ways of life through arts and culture, architecture and design for all
- Europe’s cultural heritage and arts – promoting our values at home and abroad
- Leverage the digital transition for competitive European cultural and creative industries
- Cultural and creative industries for a sustainable climate transition
In preparation for the upcoming calls, check out NEMO’s Toolkit on EU funding for an overview of the benefits of international cooperation from a museum perspective. A recent NEMO Webinar offers updates on the Toolkit and explains how small institutions can benefit from the possibilities offered by Erasmus+. The Commission also offers guidance in its interactive guide on EU funding 2021-2027 that maps 75 funding opportunities available for the cultural and creative sectors.
