The publication presents the results of a Pilot Project launched in late 2022 by the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia, in cooperation with the MDC. This initiative aims to trace the provenance history of objects acquired under unclear or forced circumstances during and after the war. The first year of research culminated in a dedicated conference, and its findings are now published in this special issue.
