The meeting focused on NEMO's ongoing activities and future priorities, including preparations for the NEMO European Museum Conference 2026: Human after all – Museums in the wake of AI, which will take place from 11–13 October in Vilnius, Lithuania. Board members also participated in a strategy workshop dedicated to NEMO's future development and the work of the Executive Board.
As part of the programme, the Board visited PANOPTIKUM, NIM's competence centre for museums in Lesznowola. The visit offered an opportunity to learn more about the centre's work in supporting museum innovation, collection management and conservation.
The meeting also included a presentation by Colonel (ret.) Sławomir Łazarek, advisor to the Director and Head of the International Cooperation Department at Poland's Government Security Centre. The session focused on security, societal resilience and contemporary information threats, providing valuable insights into challenges that increasingly affect cultural institutions and society more broadly.
