Bringing together international organisations and networks working in the field of digital cultural heritage, the meeting focused on the development of the common European Data Space for Cultural Heritage, future priorities, and opportunities for collaboration. NEMO Secretary General Julia Pagel represented the network and joined the discussions digitally.
The meeting provided a forum for participants to exchange updates on recent developments in digital transformation within their organisations and to discuss shared priorities related to digitisation, artificial intelligence, immersive technologies and digital access to cultural heritage.
During the open discussion, participants explored how organisations and their members can engage with and benefit from the common European Data Space for Cultural Heritage. Conversations also addressed the preservation and protection of cultural heritage assets in an increasingly digital environment, as well as opportunities to strengthen cooperation across the cultural heritage sector.
By participating in the meeting, NEMO contributed the museum perspective to ongoing European discussions on digital cultural heritage and future collaboration within the data space ecosystem.
