NEMO highlighted the important role that museums play in European integration and specifically for their communities, while also being a growing economic factor in terms of tourism and urban regeneration. In times of challenged democracies, museums are more than just cultural institutions - they are active defenders of democracy. They also explained how NEMO supports museums to become and to remain public spaces for dialogue, participation, and social change across Europe.
