The meeting brought together ECHOES partners, sister projects contributing to the European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage (ECCCH), and representatives of the European Commission to review progress, share results and discuss next steps in the development of the Cultural Heritage Cloud.
For NEMO, the event provided an opportunity to advance work in key areas of the project, including the development of a community-building strategy for the Cultural Heritage Cloud, the design of capacity-building resources, and engagement with cultural heritage communities through the Cascading Grants scheme.
A key focus of the annual meeting was strengthening collaboration across the wider ECCCH ecosystem. Discussions explored the integration of tools and services developed by ECHOES and its sister projects, community engagement, governance, sustainability, and the future relationship between the European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage and the common European data space for cultural heritage.
An important milestone of the event was the signing of a Joint Statement between the ECHOES project and the Europeana Initiative, reaffirming their commitment to cooperation, interoperability and the coherent development of Europe's digital infrastructures for cultural heritage.
The meeting also provided updates on the technological development of the Cloud, presentations from sister projects, hands-on integration sessions, and opportunities to strengthen cooperation across the European cultural heritage sector.
