NEMO to contribute expertise on resilience in cultural heritage in webinar

On 24 July at 12:00 CET, NEMO will be represented by board member Sandro Debono at the upcoming ACMC webinar, ‘Resilience in Cultural Heritage’. This event is part of the ACMC’s series ‘Resilient Voices’, which explores how museums and heritage professionals adapt and thrive in times of change.

Sandro Debono, cultural strategist and museum thinker, will share his insights on the rapid transformations affecting museum policy, particularly in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Drawing on his extensive research and practical experience, Dr Debono will discuss the foundational principles of the European museum model and introduce the R-factor Compass, a framework that positions resilience as a key strategy for institutions navigating political and social pressures.

Participants can expect discussions on the evolving role of resilience in the museum sector, including:

  • Real-life examples of resilience from museum professionals
  • Reflections on whether resilience is an innate trait or a developed practice
  • Considerations on how digital transformation is reshaping resilience in the sector
