NEMO to speak at ‘Collections 2030 and Beyond’ conference

On 26 September, NEMO Secretary General Julia Pagel will join the ‘Intersectoral Panel’, as part of the upcoming virtual conference, ‘Collections 2030 and Beyond: Activating heritage collections for sustainable development through cross-sector partnerships’, organised by ICCROM.

The conference, taking place online from 22–26 September 2025, brings together professionals from museums, libraries, archives, government, civil society, and other sectors. Participants will explore how mobilising heritage collections through stronger cross-sector partnerships can help address the world’s most pressing sustainable development challenges.

With Agenda 2030 now past its midway point and many Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at risk of not being achieved, the conference aims to foster inclusive and transformative solutions. Attendees are invited to engage in participatory sessions designed to leverage heritage collections as vital assets for sustainable development.
