New publication maps cultural heritage funds in Europe

The new study ‘Case Studies on Cultural Heritage Funds in Europe’ offers valuable insights into cultural heritage funding mechanisms across EU Member States and beyond.

The publication, issued by the European Commission, examines institutional frameworks, incentive-based support, and emergency response tools, with a focus on governance, funding models, and operational structures.

The study is intended to support and inspire the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications in establishing a Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Fund to safeguard and restore heritage sites affected by war.

Prepared by the European Expert Network on Culture, the study was officially presented to the Ukrainian Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications on 25 June.
