Petra has led the Board 1,5 years out of her first 3-year term and expressed her commitment to continue supporting the network. In her nomination letter, she shared:
“I am motivated to continue for another term because I believe in the value of continuity and the potential for further impact. I see ongoing opportunities to support museums across Europe and to further strengthen NEMO’s position as a key advocate and resource in the sector. By continuing to serve, I hope to build on the momentum we’ve established, contribute to long-term strategic initiatives, and support the next phase of NEMO’s development. Together, I believe we can accomplish even more – as individuals and as a united team.”

The AGM brought together NEMO members from across Europe to reflect on the past year and look ahead. Participants reviewed the updated budget for 2025–2026, the annual activity report, and the revised Policy Document, as well as the new Sustainability Policy.
To close the meeting, members were given a sneak peek of the upcoming NEMO European Museum Conference ‘Who cares? Museums, wellbeing, and resilience’ which will take place from 26–28 October 2025 in Horsens, Denmark.
As part of the conference, NEMO invites all members to the Members’ Forum, taking place on Sunday, 26 October from 17:30 to 19:00, just ahead of the opening reception. While the online AGM was kept focused on elections and updates, the Members’ Forum offers a valuable opportunity for in-person connection, networking, and engagement with this year’s conference theme.
We thank all members who participated in the AGM and look forward to continuing our work together in Horsens and beyond.
