Paulina Florjanowicz of ICOM Poland and Vera Carasso of the Royal Dutch Museums Association ended their current terms on the board and decided to stand for re-election for a second term 2027-2029. In total five candidates stood for election to fill the two seats and both Paulina Florjanowicz and Vera Carasso were re-elected by the members of NEMO.
In her nomination letter, Paulina Florjanowicz highlighted her wish to continue developing NEMO's work on monitoring political pressure on museums through the NEMO Barometer and strengthening support for museum independence across Europe.
Vera Carasso emphasised the value of international cooperation through NEMO, noting the importance of strong networks that enable museums to exchange knowledge, learn from one another and strengthen their resilience in times of political, societal and economic change.
The NEMO Executive Board for the 2027-2029 term consists of Chair Petra Havu (Finnish Museums Association), Vera Carasso (Royal Dutch Museums Association), Paulina Florjanowicz (ICOM Poland), Sergio Servellón (ICOM Belgium), Sylvia Willkomm (German Museums Association), Zane Grīnvalde (Latvian Museums Association), and Sandro Debono (University of Malta).
