The concept developed by Mar Dixon in 2013, aims to strengthen the dialogue between museums and the public. Throughout the day visitors and the interested public can address museums and their curators with various questions. These can be very specific and concern certain objects or more general and relate to why the museum might be collecting certain objects or cary its name.
The event takes place on twitter and instagram, using the hashtag #AskACurator. Museums interested in participating can sign up for the event using the sign up form.
