At NEMO’s European Museum Conference 2026, Elīna will introduce the workshop “From principles to practice: Co-designing an AI Manifesto for your museum” on Tuesday 13 October.
Elīna Vikmane
PhD Elīna Vikmane is the leader of the NEMO Working Group Digital Transformation, a board member of the Latvian Museums Association, a research associate at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, and a researcher at the Latvian Academy of Culture. Her research interests include digital innovation and participatory approaches in the museum sector. Her ongoing projects include digitally mediated participatory science in museums as a Fulbright scholar, engagement of young people in museum content production, literary production in the digital age, and diffusion of digital innovation in museums. And she has a new hobby away from digital technology - pottery.
