Giedrė Milerytė-Japertienė

Dr. Giedrė Milerytė-Japertienė is a historian and Deputy Director for Research and Dissemination at the National Museum of Lithuania. She is responsible for the museum's research, digitisation, and publishing activities. She has curated both national and international exhibitions and is the author of scholarly and popular history books. 

Between 2024 and 2026, she contributed to the Lithuanian cultural heritage platform eKultūra.lt, focusing on the identification, processing, curation, and public accessibility of Lithuanian heritage resources. Her current interests include digital heritage, AI applications in museums, and strengthening museums as trusted knowledge institutions.

At NEMO’s European Museum Conference 2026, Dr Giedrė Milerytė-Japertienė will join the panel session "Short Cuts: Museum practice in an AI-shaped world" on Monday, 12 October.
