Maaike Verberk

Maaike Verberk is Managing director of DEN. DEN is the Dutch sector supporting organisation that helps cultural organisations embrace the advantages of digital innovation. DEN is funded by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science. As director she developed the DEN Academy where she shaped programmes like 'Digital Leadership for leaders in the cultural sector' and 'Futuring for cultural organisations '. 

With an MA in Business Management and an MA in Art Policy from the University of Groningen Maaike formerly served as business manager at the largest theatre Company ITA (Amsterdam) and business director of STRP Art&Technology Festival (Eindhoven). 

At NEMO’s European Museum Conference 2026, Maaike Verberk will facilitate the workshop Museums in 2036: Exploring Future Audiences Through Signals and Scenarios  on Monday 12 October.
