Denisa Brejchova

Denisa Brejchova studied Archaeology at the Faculty of Philosophy and Arts of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. At the Faculty of Education, UWB, she attended the bachelor's degree program Social Work.

Since 2012, she has been working as a museum educator at the West Bohemian Museum in Pilsen. In 2013 she became a member of the international association Hands On! International Association for Children in Museums and an Ambassador for the Czech Republic and member of the Board of Directors in 2016-2017. In 2017 she co-organized the international conference Future in Children’s Hands in the Czech Republic. She is still a member of the Public Relations and Museum Education Commission of the Czech Association of Museums and Galleries.
 

She focuses on possibilities of interpretation of museum expositions and interaction of formal and non-formal education. Since 2018, she has been cooperating with the University of West Bohemia on the European project Together to the Museum, which focuses on the educational potential of museums and the link between school and extracurricular education.

At NEMO’s European Museum Conference 2019, Denisa Brejchova will participate in the European Project Slam – Courageous Museums on 9 November 2019. In the 2019 edition of the Museum Slam, five projects that have taken a stand and where the museum has positioned itself in a societal matter will be given the stage to inspire us.
