At the kick-off meeting, the consortium officially presented the participatory framework that will guide the participating museums over the coming months. During the programme, institutions will directly implement TOWCHED’s core methodologies by anchoring Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and a Human Rights-Based Approach (HRBA) within their daily practice. Museums will use their collections as tangible bridges to local sustainability issues, working hand-in-hand with educators, children, and young people to co-create custom learning Itineraries, hands-on activities, and build enduring local learning hubs

What lies ahead
With the kick-off completed, the museums will now dive into action by matching collection pieces with urgent local sustainability challenges and teaming up with educators and young learners on the ground. Backed every step of the way by TOWCHED consortium mentors and dynamic learning frameworks, the ten institutions are on a journey to unlock the power of their collections to inspire youth-led climate and social action.
