European Commission launches initiative for greener investments

The new initiative Green Assist will provide access to Advisory Services that enable beneficiaries to prepare green/greener investment projects. Usage is free of charge and the service delivers tailor-made advice specific to each case.

Green Assist (Green Advisory Service for Sustainable Investments Support) supports projects of any size and scope, in a broad range of sectors. By filling in a short questionnaire about their project, interested beneficiaries will be matched with the most appropriate experts if the request falls within the scope of Green Assist.

The initiative is launched in support of the European Green Deal Investment Plan, which acknowledges the need for promoting and facilitating investments in the green economy, notably in natural capital and circular economy management. It also recognises the need to strengthen technical assistance as a means to build up a pipeline for green investment projects with high impact.
