The event will promote an open conversation with industry professionals, working in Italy and abroad, with the aim of sharing up-to-date theoretical and practical reflections, contributions and guidelines. Discussions will be sparked by considering two foundational topics described by two pairs of words: ‘heritage education/didactic’ and ‘training/hands-on experience’. With the event, the organisers (Association of Museum Educators, GEM Italy, ICOM Italy and NEMO) wish to explore competencies that define museum educators and what kind of training is most suited for the museum educator profession.
The event will be held in Italian and is free of charge.
