Hosted by the Literature and Music Museum and organised with the support of the Latvian Museums Association, the meeting provided an opportunity for partners to discuss project developments, prepare for the upcoming mid-project review, and begin work on policy recommendations aimed at strengthening the role of museums in sustainability education.
A key focus of the meeting was planning the project's upcoming open call for ten European museums, which will be invited to test and implement TOWCHED methodologies in their own institutions. NEMO contributed particularly to discussions on the structure and implementation of the call.
The programme also included visits to local pilot sites, including the Žanis Lipke Memorial, as well as exchanges with representatives from ICOM Latvia and the Ministry of Culture of Latvia.
As a project partner, NEMO continues to contribute to the development of tools, methodologies and capacity-building opportunities that support museums in advancing Education for Sustainable Development and engaging young audiences with sustainability through cultural heritage.
