2022 Erasmus+ funding call published with budget of €3.9 billion

With an increased budget of close to 3.9 billion euro, the 2022 Erasmus+ Call for Proposals was published on 24 November 2021 together with the Erasmus Programme Guide. The programme will continue to provide opportunities for studies abroad, apprenticeships, staff exchanges and cross border cooperation projects in different areas of education, training and youth.

The Programme Guide provides applicants with details on the opportunities available in the 2022 General Call for Proposals including all the novelties, rules and conditions for receiving a grant.

Some of the new features of the Erasmus+ Programme include:

  • Forward-looking projects: New large-scale projects will support high-quality and inclusive digital education and the adaptation of education and training systems to the green transition.
  • More exchanges with third countries, especially in the fields of vocational education and training, and sport.
  • More inclusive DiscoverEU: with specific rounds will be dedicated for organisations to help even more young people with fewer opportunities to participate in DiscoverEU.
  • Jean Monnet Actions promoting education on the EU.
  • Simpler financing of cooperation projects with lump sums which makes applying, managing and reporting much easier.
