European Museum Academy Awards 2018: Application period extended until 24 February 2018

The 2018 round of the European Museum Academy's (EMA) Awards is open for applications until 28 February 2018. EMA is a long standing partner of NEMO.

The EMA Award, the Luigi Micheletti and the DASA Award honor different aspects of museum work and are a great opportunity for museums to profit from the visibility and networking opportunities following the acknowledgment by the EMA jury.

The European Museum Academy Prize has been established with the aim of recognising the outstanding results of organisations, researchers and cultural institutions in creating pioneering museums or producing studies and carrying on projects of European relevance which are destined to influence the development of museological discourse at the international level.

The Luigi Micheletti Award is an award focused on contemporary history and ist scientific, industrial and social heritage while the DASA Award focuses on excellence in learning opportunities provided by museums.

Museums can apply for either of the awards until 24 February 2018.

Selected candidates will be visited by members of the EMA Jury, the awards will be presented at the EMI annual conference from 20-23 September 2018 in Aarhus, Denmark.
