NEMO mapping of museums in the energy crisis

This is a map of Europe.

NEMO is collecting information about the situation for museums in the current energy crisis and the ever-increasing costs. The data can be explored in an interactive map. 

The map entries created with the help of NEMO members cover cost increases and consequences for museums, the impact on museum operations as well as governmental support and funding. Relevant statements and articles can also be found in the mapping.

The map is a work in progress and new contributions and updates are welcome to office@ne-mo.org.

Knowing that museums are experiencing extreme rises in energy bills and that some already have closed or reduced their opening hours, NEMO is taking action for European museums. In addition to the mapping, NEMO published a statement on 16 September. The statement calls for increased operational budgets and funds for now and future spendings as well as for energy-efficient infrastructure investments.
