NEMO has launched a call for applications to the first round of its new training activity One to One Mentoring, organised in partnership with GEM – the Group for Education in Museums. The mentoring programme is exclusively open to people active within NEMO member organisations. Applications are welcome until 6 March 2022.

By taking part in the programme, emerging museum professionals, typically in education roles, gain the opportunity to learn from more experienced colleagues. Five persons will be selected to be supported and empowered by experienced GEM Mentors in 2-3 online one to one mentoring sessions (each lasting 60-90 minutes). Mentees are carefully matched with a suitable mentor based on their needs and priorities for development.

Apply now for access to:

  • Individual support by experienced senior museum professionals who understand your field
  • Help setting and achieving goals that support your career growth
  • International networking

Learn more about the One to One Mentoring Programme online and find details about the application process in the Call for Applications.

The next call will be published in autumn 2022 to allow another five persons to benefit from the mentoring programme in 2022.

In case your organisation is not a member of NEMO, but you are interested in applying to the One to One Mentoring Programme, we suggest that your organisation requests to join NEMO. Please note that only organisations and no individual persons may join NEMO.

Until 11 February 2022, NEMO is accepting applications to the free 1-year NEMO Trial Membership scheme. Take the chance of applying to a Trial Membership and then applying to the One to One Mentoring. In addition to access to NEMO’s training opportunities (participation is free of charge), trial members get to enjoy almost all other benefits of a NEMO membership. Find more information online and in the call for applications.
