New Education Initiatives proposed by EC

The European Commission has suggested new measures to boost key competences and digital skills.

With the intention to build a stronger, more united and democratic Europe, the EC presents initiatives on the future of learning. By working towards reduced socio-economic inequalities, but still keep competitiveness, the Commission hopes to improve the development of key competences of people of all ages throughout their lives. NEMO hopes that the Commission will identify museums as an educator for people of all ages.

A certain focus is stressed on digital education as well as cultural awareness and expression. Further the Commission hopes to raise awareness of the functioning of the EU as well as to promote common values.
