Communicating complex issues the science centre way

Presentation abstract

Science centres are free learning environments that foster lifelong learning and invite visitors to engage in a dialogue with the world and each other. In the panel Heidi Rosenström will present how Heureka, the Finnish Science Centre, uses emotions, shared experiences and empathy as a tool for communicating complex issues, such as climate change, to broad audiences, and discuss whether they are a means to get from awareness to action.
