Heidi Rosenström

Heidi Rosenström is an Exhibition Producer at Heureka, the Finnish Science Centre, with over 15 years of experience in shaping engaging science exhibitions. With a background in biology, she has conceived exhibitions such as "Heureka Goes Crazy" (2013) , currently touring in North America as "Mental Health: Mind Matters", as well "Mind Your Brain" (2018), just opened in Experimenta, Germany. Now she is working on an exhibition about the water cycle and global water resources and bringing in more biodiversity into the outdoor science park Galilei. Sustainable practices in exhibition production are also of great interest.

At NEMO’s European Museum Conference 2023, Heidi Rosenström will be part of the panel "Part of the Solution" on Monday, 20 November.

Communicating complex issues the science centre way

Presentation abstract

Science centres are free learning environments that foster lifelong learning and invite visitors to engage in a dialogue with the world and each other. In the panel Heidi Rosenström will present how Heureka, the Finnish Science Centre, uses emotions, shared experiences and empathy as a tool for communicating complex issues, such as climate change, to broad audiences, and discuss whether they are a means to get from awareness to action.
