Ilenia Valerio

Ilenia Valerio works as a museum educator at the Climate House, part of the Natural History Museum in Oslo. She strongly believes in the art of empowering people, especially the younger ones. She is highly engaged and uses a creative approach when she teaches to kindergarten children and to middle/high school pupils, spreading her love for nature by showing how everyone can do something to protect biodiversity and preserve our planet.

Her educational background is in Forestry and Environmental Sciences, with a MSc from the University of Padua (Italy) combined with one in Natural Resources Management, from NMBU (Norway).

At NEMO’s European Museum Conference 2023, Ilenia Valerio will contribute to the Slam with her presentation "Oops! I gave a teenager a (climate) chance!" on Tuesday, 21 November.
