Janina Ahlfors is a veteran art educator and museum professional with years of experience in creating engaging and inclusive learning environments. She believes in valuing each individual and promoting equality in the classroom. Her areas of expertise include inspiring, visual arts education, positive pedagogy, and environmental education, all of which contribute to a holistic approach to learning that encompasses not just the arts but also the wider world around us.
In almost 20 years, Ahlfors has worked with the Taidekaari cultural education program in Tampere, which is aimed at early childhood education, preschool, and basic education. She is one of the authors of the Guide to Sustainable Development for Children’s Cultural Centers.
At NEMO’s European Museum Conference 2023, Janina Ahlfors will lead the workshop "Fighting climate change through art education" on Monday, 20 November.
