New platform maps working conditions in the cultural sector

A new platform on the status and working conditions of artists and cultural professionals in the European Union has been launched on the Creatives Unite portal. It represents the first EU-wide knowledge resource solely focused on working  conditions in the cultural and creative sectors.

The platform provides information on key aspects of working conditions in the cultural sector in the 27 EU member states regarding regulatory status, social security, labour relations, learning and skills, and artistic freedom.

The platform was launched as part of the 2023-2026 EU Work Plan for Culture and is based on the recommendations by the EU national experts’ participating in an  Open Method of Coordination Group on the topic.
