Travel grants for museum professionals in Central-Eastern Europe to NEMO European Museum Conference

NEMO has issued a call for participation to encourage increased participation of museum colleagues from Central-Eastern Europe to join the NEMO European Museum Conference 2023. Six persons will be selected to receive a travel grant of 600 euro and free participation at the conference (worth 180 euro).

The call is targeted at museum professionals active in countries in Central-Eastern Europe that are part of the European Union. Applicants should show an interest in the topic of sustainability and climate action as well as a commitment to European collaboration and enthusiasm for international networking.​

The NEMO European Museum Conference 2023: and… ACTION! Museums in the climate crisis takes place from 19-21 November 2023 in Lahti, Finland. 200+ museum professionals form across Europe are expected to join the discussions about how museums can take action for the climate and a sustainable future. At the conference, we will draw on learnings from NEMO’s recent report to explore sustainability strategies, risk management as preventive measures and how to transform museums into futureproof and sustainable organisations.

Apply for the travel grant by sending a letter of motivation relating to the conference topic and your interest in connecting to NEMO together with your CV to office@ne-mo.org. Applications are welcome until 14 August 2023.
