Join Julie Ward at her Internship at the Bonnefantenmuseum

The video documentation of the first NEMO Political Internship in Museums has been released. The video follows MEP and member of the CULT committee Julie Ward during her internship at the Bonnefantemuseum in Maastricht, The Netherlands, on 25 May 2018.

NEMO launched the museum advocacy initiative earlier this year with the objective of showcasing museums’ social importance to politicians and other stakeholders. NEMO also hopes to give politicians a greater understanding of museum work and the great talent found within museums. As the artistic director of the Bonnefantenmusuem, Stijn Huijts, stated; “[t]o me a public institution like a museum is maybe an example of the last piece of public space. And because of that I think we should try to convince as many people as possible of the importance of that institution for our civilization.”

NEMO would like to thank Julie Ward, the Bonnefantenmuseum as well as the Netherlands Museums Association for helping it realise the first instalment of NEMO Political Internships.
