In 2025, the event brought together 120 organisations and featured 250 activities across France. For 2026, Universcience invites international partners to join this collaborative initiative and showcase their efforts to foster critical thinking. Contributions can include exhibitions, workshops, conferences, training sessions, or professional meetings, and will be featured on the event’s dedicated platform: www.printempsdelespritcritique.fr.
A highlight of the event is the Critical Thinking Barometer, which surveys public attitudes toward science, information sources, and debate. The 2026 edition will focus on the theme of money, but partners are welcome to address any topic related to critical thinking, cognitive bias, or media literacy.

Universcience is a member of NEMO, and this call for participation as well as the Spring of Critical Thinking were recently presented by Caroline Wable during the latest NEMO Members’ Meetup on 2 December 2025. The Meetup explored the question of how museums can nurture critical thinking, for their audiences, their teams, and the wider public, and why is this skill essential in today’s cultural landscape.
